DISABLE AUTO RESTART IN WINDOWS XP

Hi friends,
Your PC (Windows XP installed PC) may restart often dueto some errors. This problem comes due to some system crashes. If you want to disable this automatic restart, follow the steps given below
  • Go to Start -> Control panel
  • Then click on system (if you can't see system in Control panel, click on Switch to classic view at left side).  There will be a window named "System Properties"
  • In Advanced, you select Settings under "Start up and recovery" label
  • Now another window will appear, there you uncheck the automatically restart as shown in thw image below.

  • Click Ok on "Start up and recovery" window & Click  OK on "System Properties" window..  After doing this, there won't be any auto-restarts
Note: Hereafter if any system crash happens, system will hang & you have to restart it manually..

  3. hi friend,
If you have Windows XP,press F8 after rebooting the PC should Windows freeze while booting up. You can select "Last Known Good Configuration" after rebooting to allow the computer to boot the last backed up files. And you can choose "Safe Mode" to remove any changes or files you know caused the operating system to hang up.

  8. can you exactly say about your error message?? (for example "Stop 0x0000000a(0x00000029,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x80466d7b" )..

The most common cause of a fatal error or BSOD is a software or driver problem.. What was the last software installed to your computer by you before getting this Error message?? please answer them all.. I will help you

  9. Hi, appreciate any and all support and help, my windows xp for a dell inspiron e 1505 starts and loads at the first screen where it says DELL in big letters and has F2 and F12 options in upper right corner and Intel Centrino in bottom right...as the bar loads the NUMLOCK automatically turns on, and right before the bar finishes loading, the computer goes black for a few seconds and then just repeats the same process, indefinitely.

  11. Hello Jesh,
I am getting the Stop 0x00000050 or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Error. I have looked all over the Internet and havn't found a solution. I really need to work on my computer and would appreciate any help you could give me ( Safe mode, Last known Confrig, Normal, none of them work, they end up restarting the PC. Also I have tried taking out my RAM, cleaning the dust in re-inserting to no avail, Thanks)

  12. This error means "Drivers are using improper memory addresses".

1)If you added new hardware recently, remove and replace the hardware to determine if it is causing or contributing to the problem. Run diagnostics software supplied by the hardware manufacturer to determine if the component has failed.

2)Stop 0x50 messages can also occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If the file name is listed, you need to disable, remove, or roll back that driver. If not, disable the recently installed service or application to determine if this resolves the error. If this does not resolve the problem, contact the hardware manufacturer for updates. Using updated drivers and software is especially important for network interface cards, video adapters, backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, and CD mastering tools. If an updated driver is not available, attempt to use a driver from a similar device in the same family. For example, if printing to a Model 1100C printer causes Stop 0x50 errors, using a printer driver meant for a Model 1100A or Model 1000 might temporarily resolve the problem.
