Facebook has sending its notifications through SMS, Using this you can also update your status. I have given the steps below to activate it
- After signing into Facebook goto this link http://www.facebook.com/mobile/
- Then click on the button having the string "sign up for facebook text messages"
- Then select the cellphone service provider (for india, select other Indian carriers for non-Tata indicom numbers)
- Now send "f" (without coats) to 9232232665 (92FACEBOOK) from your mobile phone
- A verification code will be sent to your mobile phone, just type it in the next step window
- That's all,now you can get facebook notifications on your mobile-phone & also you can update your status through this service( send your status to 9232232665 , after doing the above steps
