SYNCHRONIZE COMPUTER TIME WITH GLOBAL CLOCK

Hi friends,

                There may be some problems, because of your time leading or lagging with the global clock (Sometimes problem with unlimited download time range at night times). So you must update your time with the global clock. Follow the steps given below to do so,

• Double Click on the time shown in the task bar
•  A dialog will be displayed, then you check "Automatically synchronize with an internet time server".
• Then select "time.nist.gov"
• Now click on "Update now"
• Finally Click on "Apply"
• That's all, now the time is updated with global time server. you can do any work at your PC at Exact time here after.

Note:

     The correct time Zone must be set during your OS installation to do this process. Else Reset your Time zone.

              Whenever you  log-on to your Windows Vista Operating System, It asks for password. It may be a irritating task for you(but good for security). If you want to set auto log-on,which doesn't require your password to log-in, you can follow the steps given below:

• Go to Start -> then type netplwiz
• Then It will be displayed, you can now uncheck the checkbox "User must enter the user-name and password to use this computer" in the User Accounts window
• Now click on Apply. 
• Now you must provide your password to allow this action.

 

Note:

• It's not recommended by vista.

VERIFY YOUR IMEI NUMBER

Hi friends,

                  ICA ( Indian Cellular Association) appealed Indian government not to give service to mobile phones, which are not having International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) & with invalid fake IMEI. So you must be aware of your mobile phone's IMEI number.

                                                                 From the December 1st 2009, the Mobile phones without IMEI & with fake IMEI won't work (The service provider won't provide service). So please verify whether your mobile phone has unique genuine IMEI number. Follow the steps to verify your IMEI number.

• Type *#06# in your mobile
• It will show your IMEI number, which is of 15 digits. For Example::353773004404559
• Note it down
  

Then there are two ways to verify it

SMS

•  Through SMS - send "IMEI your-IMEI-number" to 53232
• For example IMEI 353773004404559
• For correct IMEI the messsage come as success
• For invalid IMEI the message will come as Invalid IMEI

Most of the times we will format our PC to run those trial versions again. Now here is a simple trick to extend the validity of Trial version.

                                                                  By changing the serial number of your hard disk drive, you can restart the trial version of your software. But how to do it????

• It's difficult to change the serial number manually
• So that,you can use a software(freeware) to change the serial number
  
• Download Hard Disk Serial Number Changer , freeware to use.
• Install it and Run it after the installation 
• Now a window will be displayed and ask whether you want to change the serial number.
• just click on change
• That's all.. now restart your PC and reinstall the trial versions..

Note:

• Please note down your original serial number, before changing it. Original serial number should be used for claiming warranty for your hard disk.
• All type of trial software can't be restarted using this method.

GOOGLE'S HONESTY -THE REASON WHY IT IS ON TOP....

Hi friends,

                  I was going on searching why Google is best for searching and doing so many things related to internet surfing. Different people have said different thoughts about Google and its search engine algorithm. But i was thinking," This is not a right answer for me"..  Because Every search engine in web are providing some nice search results nearly 90% similar to google.

                                                          Finally I found the simple reason,when i try to get download link for Google Chrome (Web browser). I have given the search Keywords as "fastest web browser" , "fastest web browser download" and "best web browser download" in Google search Engine .. I expected that Google Chrome will be the first result. But I was shocked because of the result. Because it shows Apple's Safari in first position and Mozilla firefox & Opera in the Next positions. This is the honesty of Google. If Google wants,it can show its Google Chrome at First Position. But It didn't do that.See The Snap here

                      If you are using Windows vista, then follow these steps to change your IP address. The manual steps are given below.

• Go to Start
• Right click on Networks and select properties
• Then click on Network and Sharing Centre
• In the Network and sharing Centre window right click on Your Network card
  
• Now select Diagnose and then select Windows Network Diagnostics.
• In that select Reset the network adapter and allow Vista UAC control to proceed by clicking on Continue

                   You may want to change your IP address for many purposes. Here are the simple steps to change your IP address in Windows XP Operating System. It can be changed Using two methods,one is by using Command prompt & another is to use simple manual method

Command Prompt Method:

• Go to  Start then select Run
• Type cmd on the Run window
• Now the command prompt will open
• Type ipconfig /release in the command prompt
• After thet type ipconfig /renew

Manual Method:

DISABLE AUTO RESTART IN WINDOWS 7

Hi friend,

               Like Windows XP & Vista ,Windows 7 also having the facility to restart itself(auto-restart). This auto restart will reboot the PC during system crashes like BSOD. Some people may be get irritated due to this auto restart. you can avoid this auto restart, Deactivate auto restart using the following steps,

• Go to Start then select Control Panel
• Then Click on System and security and then click on System Link ( If you are using small or large icon view, you can't see System and security. You just double click on System in this case)
• Then click on the Advanced System Link at the left side of the control panel
• Now click on settings under the Start up and Recovery Label
• The final step is to unselect (uncheck) the Automaticalllly Restart

 

Note: After doing this, the PC won't restart for system crashes and hang, you must restart it manually

This is technically called as STOP message or STOP error. It has some other names such as BSOD(Blue Screen of Death) , System crash,kernel error, STOP message.

DISABLE AUTO RESTART IN WINDOWS VISTA

             There is a facility in Windows Vista to restart your PC during some system crashes such as BSOD. Some people wants to disable this auto restart, Because of some problem due to unsaved data. Here I am specifying the steps for disabling this facility in windows vista. Steps are

• Go to Start then select  Cotrol panel
• There you click on the System and maintanence ( If you are using classic view,there won't be this option.. just double click on the System & proceed)
• Then click on System link
• Now click on Advanced System settings link
• Now there will be a window, In that you uncheck the "Automatically restart" option
• click OK.. After doing this, there won't be any Auto restart.......

 

Note: 

After doing this steps, If any system failure happens, It will hang.. You must Restart it manually

UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE!!!

The main limitation of an unmanned aerial vehicle based on the way a maple seed falls to the ground is the wind does not allow the vehicles to land on the ground safely.But this limitation was overcomed by the students of Clark School in June, 2009.

The method adopted by them is,they allowed the vehicle to take off and then it was positioned from an aircraft. With the help of this method, it was more easier and also cheaper for launching the vehicle by hand.

The first uncontrollable MAV monocopter was developed by them based on the maple tree seeds. A new design with tiny flyers that flew with natural elegance was also found.

The world's first rotorcraft was controllable, only single winged and also manageable .It could be used in surveillance for defense, fire control, and other rescue purposes.

COMPUTER POWERS ON BUT DOES NOT BOOT - FIX IT

Hi friends,

                  Some times your PC may be very slow & when you turn on next time it will not boot, but  powers on. you may think that its a very big problem. But according to me its very simple to solve(after reading, For you also).

                                                   The reason for this problem is dust in RAM.  So that follow the steps shown below

• Remove your CPU plug from power
• Open the CPU using necessary tools & remove the RAM
• then clean it carefully using cotton & also clean the dust in RAM slot
• Then re-insert RAM to its slot.. That's all.. Now you can boot your PC....

Note:

        Please don't try this process,when power supply is connected to CPU.. Some other problems in other hardware may also cause this problem,but i can assure 95% solution is the above mentioned

Vista offers support for only one Ready boost device,which can be of Maximum 4GB in size. But Windows 7 supports  maximum of 8 ReadyBoost Devices of maximum size 32GB each. Totally 256GB, can you think a PC with 256GB RAM. Windows 7 provides support for this facility.

                                                             You may think,"why can't i use my traditional hard disk for this purpose?". No you can't.. because the RAM stores and accesses data from USB drives faster than your traditional hard disk. PCs ,which are using SSD(Solid State drives) doesn't need this method to speed up the performance, because USB & SSD are having the same speed of processing. Now let us see the steps to configure The ReadyBoost

• The Pendrive must be of formatted with exFAT or NTFS
• Go to Computer ,right click on the USB Drive or SD (secure digital) memory card and select Properties
• Then select  ReadyBoost & Click on Use this device
• Then increase the "Space to reserve for system speed" 
• Now click on Apply, That's all....Enjoy the higher performance of your PC

             Are you using dial-up or any other slow speed internet connection. If so, I hope you are suffering with the surfing of social networking & mail services. Now many of the ail services & social networking sites are providing there lite versions. So you just switch to the lite version. Now  Let us see about three main site's lite version switching methods. Its very simple..

Facebook:

                     It is very simple to switch from facebook standard version to Lite version. Just click on the link at right top of the page showing "Try Facebook Lite". Its shown in the image below

Orkut:

                 CIn Orkut, Its again very simple to change to Lite view. click on "Settings", Then there will be a page, in that you select "Show the low bandwidth version of orkut". & click on save changes. Gmail:

             Some times  some people(may be friends) may ask your mobile phone for sending SMS (Short Message Sevice). At that situation you can not refuse it. So you have to give your mobile. There is a trick.If you use this trick, the SMS can not be sent. Do this steps before giving the mobile phone to others. The Steps are given below

•  Go to Messages -->Message settings or SMS settings
•  Then go to  "SMS Centre"
• There Reset Message centre number to 0000

Note:   

1. Don't forget to save the message centre number , before changing
2. After getting back your mobile from others, set the original message centre number(which you have saved)
